customise your sweets

I read with interest that the US version of the M&M’s site is giving cutomers the chance to create their own custom sweets. This basically involves you choosing what you would like written on them. I think they’ll even deliver to the UK. To be honest I think half the fun is going to be much the same as it was with the Nike id design a shoe feature … and that is seeing what swear words you can actually get on the things with out it throwing you of the site.

As a Google user, you’re familiar with the speed and accuracy of a Google search. How exactly does Google manage to find the right results for every query as quickly as it does? The heart of Google’s search technology is PigeonRank, a system for ranking web pages developed by Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin at Stanford University.

Imagine if your neighbour was this guy, 17,000 lights. It’d be like living in a constant state of day (all be it with a colorful tinge). This guy has a pan, zoon webcam up show them in all their glory. Well worth a quick look.

jay maynard’s tron costume

posted by Duncan at 8:22 am on April 19th, 2004

I read this on Slashdot. This guy was not happy with the quality of Tron costumes he had seen on the net (something that keeps me awake at night as well!). So he decided to make his own definitive Tron costume and log the process. The result is quite good but unfortunately Jay is no Jeff Bridges so the costume never looks quite right. Check out the photo and make your own decision.

Don’t you just love eccentricity. Good effort.

navy jet ebayed – some assembly required?

T-33 aircraft complete ready to fly

The world’s only F/A-18 Hornet in private ownership, formerly a Navy Blue Angel Jet, is for sale on eBay. The initial asking price? $1 million unassembled, or $9 million assembled and certified airworthy ‘with your choice of paint’ – more info is available via a Yahoo News story. I wonder how much it would cost to fully arm it? The same person selling the F/A-18 is also selling a 1950′s T-33, and claims they’ll soon be auctioning off an F-16 and a Mig-29 as well.

Here’s a link to a British company that can supply a motorcycle hearse and rider for either a religious or non religious service. As with a traditional cortege families travel in the funeral director’s limousines or with their own vehicles. Blimey..see their site here
