Got this from Boing Boing, but it’s about robots. So this is a hand-built “fortune-telling robot” that was photographed in a market in Bangalore. It is about 5 years old and was built by some one the lives ‘down south’ of there who also supplied the tapes with the furtunes on them.

It looks like it was based on Twiki from ‘Buck Rogers in the 25th Century’
