Bloody Plusnet

UPDATE: It turns out the loss of site was due to malicious script running from a users webspace on the same server. The equally helpful response from plusnet was to re-upload your backed up site back onto the server. I’m sure all of those non technical users and infact 80% of everyone else enjoyed that response the most. Luckily I do backup my site so I’m kind of ok. It’s a special ISP that asks you to backup your own data !?

I came into work this morning and found that my whole site had been deleted! My hosts Plusnet seem to have made a major error. It seems that other are effected too judging by the message boards. I have managed to get all the text back but have to re-find all the images.

It makes me so mad that a large company can make such a simple error. You put up with scripts not running or servers slow, but deleting your files is taking the piss. I will await the excuse and decide then whether to continue giving them my trade.

Oh dear, there have been no responses yet to this post.

Go ahead, have your say ..
