macromedia website redesign goes live

The redesign of the macromedia site is now live. It looks fab and features heavy mixing of technologies. Still in beta, they have a few problems to iron out.

Their robot platform features an industrial-strength, re-configurable aluminum chassis, plug & play, expandable electronics, a state of the art computer vision system, and an open software control system with APIs and SDKs included. Plus there loads of options to choose from. Oh if I had a spare £300.

japanese scientist invents ‘invisibility cloak’

[via gizmodo] A Japanese scientist has developed a coat which appears to make the wearer invisible. The illusion was part of a demonstration of optical camouflage technology at Tokyo University. It is the brainchild of Professor Susumu Tachi who is in the early stage of research he hopes will eventually make camouflaged objects virtually transparent.
